What is an Air Source Heat Pump Anyway?

An air source heat pump (ASHP) is a heating and cooling system that uses outdoor air to transfer heat to and from your home using refrigerant. One of the benefits of ASHPs in a cold climate is that we install the ASHP as part of a dual fuel system, allowing it to switch between electric and gas heat depending on which one is more cost-effective at the time. This feature can help you save money on your energy bills. Additionally, ASHPs are highly efficient (up to 300% efficient) and can help reduce your carbon footprint while keeping your home comfortable and efficient year-round.
