Home Heating Service is proud to announce our Green Comfort program that focuses on helping home owners live comfortably through earth-friendly products and services. Green Comfort will save you "green," as well. A leaky, drafty home leads to wasted energy--your excessive energy bills are proof. Environmental responsibility begins at home, and we can help!
Home Heating takes a "whole house" approach to evaluating and identifying leaks. Rather than focusing on a single component, such as a single-paned window, an old air condition system, or leadky ductwork, we assess how improvements to all of these components can work together to improve the performance of your home. By diagnosing a house as a whole system, we are able to provide you with a comprehensive plan to improve the home's performance.

Our state-of-the art diagnostic equipment, including a Blower Door, Digital Pressure Gauge and Infrared Thermal Inaging Camera determines where you're losing energy and comfort. We measure and/or inspect:
1. overall air leakage
2. pinpoint air leakage sources
3. attic, floor and wall insulation
4. heating, cooling, ventilation & duct systems
5. lighting, water & other sources of energy use
Green Comfort Solutions
Once the problem areas have been diagnosed, we work to make the necessary corrections. Common areas for improvement include:
1. Sealing air leaks and adding insulation thereby putting a softer work load on your heating or cooling unit.
2. Improving heating and air conditioning systems. If your system is over 10 years old, consider replacing it with an Energy Star labeled unit. These high-efficiency units can save you up to 20% on heating and cooling costs.
3. Insulating ductwork so hot or cold air may be more evenly distributed throughout the house. Sealing, fixing, and insulating ductwork can make your home more consistently comfortable and help your heating and cooling system work more efficiently.
Your family will thank you!
